Tony & Marco on Radio X3M's Metallrepubliken!

ALTARIA's Tony and Marco are visiting Yle X3M's Metallrepubliken on Monday, July 7th at 21:00 (Finnish time). During their three-hour visit the Altarians are acting as guest DJs playing some of their favourite tunes.

X3M can be listened online at www.yle.fi/extrem/radio/ (can be listened also outside Finland), remember to tune in next Monday at 9PM (GMT+3).

ALTARIA confirmed for Heavy Corner, Helsinki

ALTARIA esiintyy Heavy Cornerissa (Hietaniemenkatu 2, Kamppi) lauantaina 3. toukokuuta. Illan aloittaa STURM UND DRANG -kaksikko André ja Alex akustisella show'llaan klo 20:30. ALTARIA valtaa lavan kello 21:30, joten ole ajoissa paikalla - luvassa on timanttinen show!

ALTARIA will be playing at Heavy Corner in Helsinki on Saturday, May 3rd. The evening will start at 20:30 (8:30 pm) with André and Alex from STURM UND DRANG performing acoustically. ALTARIA will hit the stage at about 21:30 (9:30 pm) so be sure to be there on time. ALTARIA hope to see you there and promises an action-packed show!

Muina esiintyjinä ovat Tacere ja Kill The Romance. Liput 6 euroa, ovet aukeavat klo 21:00 ja showtime on klo 22:30.

Other bands playing there are Tacere and Kill The Romance. Tickets cost 6 euros, the doors will be opened at 9pm and the showtime is at 22:30.

ALTARIA news for 2008!

ALTARIA has parted ways with record company Metal Heaven and is currently negotiating a new contract. Material for the fourth album, which earlier was scheduled to be released in 2007, is basically ready just waiting to be recorded and unleashed upon the world this year.

In the aftermath of this split bass player Marko Pukkila decided to quit. ALTARIA will not look for a replacement and the bass will as of now be handled by Marco Luponero who in his previous band Terrorwheel also held the position as bassist/vocalist. Rehearsals have shown that the band now is working better than ever as a solid and creative unit and the ALTARIA-camp is very exited about everything going on in the "History Of Times To Come" =). Thanx also to Marko for his input and stay tuned for more news as it happends! 2008... here comes ALTARIA!

ALTARIA on the sea!

This coming friday (November 23d) Altaria will perform at the HammerFall Ocean Crusade. The festival, which starts on Thursday the 22nd, will take place at Silja Festival on the open sea (Stockholm - Turku - Stockholm). This will be the first time Swedish audience has the chance to experience Altaria live and the band is very much looking forward to it. Välkommen ombord alla rockare!!!

ALTARIA confirmed for East Club, Helsinki

One more live show added, ALTARIA will play at East Club, Helsinki (Itäkeskus), November 9th.

New gigs confirmed - including Ocean Crusade with HammerFall!

ALTARIA will play two gigs in November. On the 10th ALTARIA will take the stage in their hometown of Pietarsaari once again. Also, on the 23rd, ALTARIA will be part of the HAMMERFALL Ocean Crusade, which celebrates 10th anniversary of HAMMERFALL. Check the live section for details.

ALTARIA plays in Kokkola / New material on the way

A live show in Kokkola has been confirmed, ALTARIA will play in English Pub, August 17th. This show along with the show at Jalometalli festival are the only shows ALTARIA will play during the summer. Next live shows will be at the end of the year, and will be announced later on. In other news, the band has retreated to their rehearsal place for composing new material for the forthcoming album. So far there's more-or-less completed songs for a complete full-length album.

ALTARIA conquers Jalometalli in August

As earlier confirmed, ALTARIA will conquer Jalometalli festival in August. The schedules have now been released - be sure the check the main stage at 15:10 local time to see ALTARIA's show on Saturday, August 18th.

Divine Invitation to be released with new video!

The time has come! On friday the 25th Divine Invitation is finally unleashed. And to celebrate the release, a brand new video to the song Keeper Of Mystique will be posted on ALTARIA's MySpace page the same day, so stay tuned!

New samples available!

Samples of the two new songs Keeper Of Mystique and Ball And Chain have been added to ALTARIA's MySpace page. The songs can be found on the Divine Invitation compilation (release date May 25th 2007) and are the first tracks featuring the new members Marco Luponero on vocals and Petri Aho on guitar.

ALTARIA: Divine Invitation

ALTARIA: Divine Invitation compilation album will be released on May 25th 2007. The compilation is a mid-price release made for fans! Due to the high demand and ongoing requests for the songs of the completely sold out first two albums of the band, Invitation (2003) and Divinity (2004), the idea came up to make the best five songs each available again, to introduce new singer Marco Luponero with two brand new songs and add another seven(!) bonus tracks which originally appeared on the band's sought after demos Sleeping Visions (2001) and Feed The Fire (2002).

ALTARIA confirmed for Jalometalli Festival

HammerFall cancels Finnish shows - New ALTARIA gigs confirmed

HammerFall has cancelled the forthcoming Finnish shows where ALTARIA was chosen as support act. Instead of these two gigs ALTARIA will be playing few club gigs in Finland during the spring. The first confirmed show is at Teatria, Oulu, March 17th with Machine Men. More club gigs and the first confirmed festival appearances will be announced shortly.

New album in autumn, compilation album in spring, new photos...

ALTARIA has been busy both rehearsing for the upcoming live shows (see exclusive photos below!) and composing new material for the follow-up of The Fallen Empire, to be released tentatively in the autumn. Altaria will play few shows during the spring plus multiple festivals during the summer. The year 2007 will be extremely busy for Altaria.

In other news, since the first two albums are sold out, Metal Heaven is releasing a compilation album entitled Divine Invitation including songs from the first two studio albums. The compilation will also include two new tracks with the new line-up, including Marco on vocals. There'll be also more bonus material.

Marco Luponero joins ALTARIA!

The search is over! ALTARIA has found their man to take the place behind the microphone. Multitalented vocalist Marco Luponero attended the auditions and managed to impress the band to the point that he was invited to join. The things apart from Marco's singing that caught the band's eye (and ear) was his high-class songwriting skills as well as his stage charisma. Altaria is currently rehearsing for the following shows with LORDI and HAMMERFALL as well as writing material for the forthcoming album. Here's a greeting from the man himself:

"Hello everyone! My name is Marco Luponero and I'm proud to introduce myself as the new singer of ALTARIA. Considering that I've known both Tony and Marko for many years, and that we've shared the same stage on several occations, it seems almost odd that it's not until now that we have joined our forces. My musical background is somewhat different from the other members', I've been singing mostly in more brutal kinds of bands than Altaria, the most recent being Terrorwheel, from which a few of you might recognize me. But as I started my solo project Luponero I switched to a more melodic style of singing, that also fits Altaria's sound. I'm looking forward to play my first gig with the band and I also hope to see you all very soon! Take care!"
